What to do near Nice, France?

Adventures in South of France

I've been in France more times than I can count. Ever since I was 1 year old, we've always spent our summers near Nice in Villeneuve Loubet. We have been on countless adventures, but some are more special than others. Le Loup (the Wolf) is a river that flows from the mountains down to the sea.

In the video below, you'll find our local forest. Walking distance from our summer house. There's something special about this forest. This was our first day of our vacation!

3 hours on Sainte Marguerite

sainte marguerite

One of our last adventure on our trip to France was to visit Sainte Marguerite! An island south of Cannes.

The island is very beautiful, but rather small. It's possible to walk around the whole island in just a couple of hours. The south coast of the island is most beautiful, and we strongly recommend that you visit Sainte Marguerite if you ever come to Cannes.

Bioluminescence in Cap d’Antibes

Cap d'Antibes is also a place worth visiting many times!

However, this is the first time we snorkeled outside of the summer months. The water temperature was between 12-14°C - not too warm ;) I've realised that the seasons change under the surface as well. The sea life is different and there were a lot of strange deep sea jellyfishes that I've never seen before. One of them even displayed some bioluminescence. My first eye to eye experience with this phenomena.

Cap d’Antibes – Snorkeling

Sometimes you don't find the time to edit all the footage you have.

During our trip to the south of France we did several adventures, this is "the lost one".

One really warm August day, we went to Cap d'Antibes - a cape between Juan Les Pins and Antibes. Here we did some causal snorkeling in the clear water. We even saw an octopus! Check it out:
